He was predeceased by: his father Richard Paul Hunter Sr.; his son Mathew Hunter; his brother Dustin Hunter; and his niece Sarah Hunter. He is survived by: his mother Connie Crockett Garcia; his girlfriend Pamela Graham; his stepdaughter Sabrina Poynter; and his siblings, Brian Lloyd, Richard Paul Hunter Jr. and Amanda McGaha.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to help assist with funeral expenses.
