He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Lou (Fishburn) and Elzie "Jake" Vibbert; and his siblings, Lori Ann Vibbert, Richard and Marlin Vibbert.

He is survived by: his sisters, Carol Ann Vibbert of Glasgow, KY and Janet Bryant of Glasgow, KY. He is also survived by 1 niece and 3 nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in James' memory may be made to Old Mt. Herman Cemetery.
