James Earl Johnson Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Earl Johnson of Glasgow, Kentucky, who passed away on July 13, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Burris Johnson and Rose Abo Johnson; his wife Florine Polson Johnson; his grandson Michael Bradley Johnson; and his siblings, Buck Johnson, Albert Johnson, Gene Johnson, Louise Turner, Evelyn Johnson and Lenora Parker.

He is survived by: his children, Gary Michael Johnson (Jane) and Deborah Joan Hamilton; his grandsons, Daniel Brent Johnson (Amy), Lance Lee Hamilton (Julie), Benjamin Garrett Johnson, Scott Turner and Lucas Layne Johnson (Jenna); his sisters, Wilma Dillingham (Ray) and Eva Spencer; and his close friend Charlotte Haley. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
