She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Herbert Powell and Fannie Mae (Williams); her husband Dick Childress; and her siblings, Anna Lee, Eula Mae Bartley, Thomas Powell and Wesley Powell.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Rodgers (Barry), Sherrilyn Mutter (Charles) and John Richard Childress (Connie); her grandchildren, Craig Mutter (Brandi), Carrie Alexander (Tim), Jaime Riley (Nick), Laura Anne Rodgers Levens (Justin), Allison Rodgers, Alecia Bush and Jaime Bailey (Jamie); and her sister Jeanette Furlong. She is also survived by 11 Great grandchildren; one great great grandson.
