He was predeceased by: his parents, W. P. Hawks and Katie Lee Haynes Hawks; his brother Neal Hawks; and his sister-in-law Nell Hawks. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Hawks; his children, Douglas Hawks (Martha) and Dixie Nunnally (Wallace); his grandchildren, Casey Hawks, Betsy Raines (Derek Johnson) and Michael Nunnally (Trisha); his great grandchildren, Cameron Raines, Alex Johnson, Raelyn Nunnally and Owen Nunnally; and his half-sisters, Fonda Hawks and Sharon Smith (Dennis). He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
