She is survived by: her children, Alison Williams Whalen (Michael), Alida Beth Williams and John Hampton Jr.; her grandchildren, Nigel Caudill, Katherine Etherton Smith, Daryl A. Strauss and Sean James; and her sister JoAnne Cheatham McCoy. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
