He was predeceased by: his parents, Estel Smith Jr. and Margaret Marie Wilson Smith; his sisters, Delora Smith Wolf and Carol Smith; and his siblings-in-law, Daisy Ann Smith and William "Bill" Ferro.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Ann Smith of Girdler; his children, Alisha Garland (Steven) of Girdler and Brian Smith (Tasha Pollitt) of Barbourville; his siblings, Annette Ferro of Barbourville, Teresa Smith of London, Estel "Pjo" Smith (Gail) of Gray, Gary Smith (Janice) of Barbourville and David Smith (Kristie) of Barbourville; his father-in-law R. J. Mills (Odie Mae) of Girdler; his brother-in-law Jimmy Wolf of Girdler; his grandchildren, Layla Smith (Jason), Courtney Selvey, Reanna Rogers, Kyle Garland, Trey Rogers (Hannah), Haley Garland, Emmalynn Smith, Allison Smith, Abigail Smith (Noah Bargo), Lucas Garland, Jeremiah Smith, Clark and Cashton Pollitt; and his great grandchildren, Kinsley, Wendell, Mattie and Kaiden.
A funeral service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of the Knox Funeral Home (325 Knox St, Barbourville, KY 40906).
