He was predeceased by: his wife Anna Marion of Girdler; his parents, Ben Owens and Grace Owens of Girdler; his sister-in-law Patricia Dudley-Owens; and his extended family Ruby Mounce-Carty.
He is survived by: his friends, Curt, Christine and Peggy Sams; his daughter Jenniefer Siler (Mark) of Barbourville; his grandson Kevin Siler of Corbin; his siblings, Betty Warren (Rufford) of Naples, Ben Owens, Jr. of Columbia, James Arthur Carty of Somerset and Carol Carty-Owens (Jimmy) of Somerset, Kentucky.; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, GraceAnn Walker, Caroline Walker, William Owens, Zachary Owens, Lucas Ferlauto, Amelia Owens and Natalie Ferlauto.
They also organized the annual mail-in-donation campaigns and several other fundraisers such as cake sales and singings.
