He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Carty and Mabel Carty; his wife Lillie; and his siblings, Mildred Smith, Bill Carty, Ken Carty and Wilma Roark.
He is survived by: his daughter Donna Carty Barger (Charlie) of Girdler; his husband Zac of Huntsville; his sister Page Chrisman of Hallsville; and also, Tammy Deaton, Gary Smith, Rodney Smith, Sharon McDonald and Barb Gambrel. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
