He was predeceased by: his mother Mildred McFarland Thorn; his brother Glen Thorn, Jr.; and his parent Glen Thorn, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Riley Thorn; his children, Donald Thorn of Wheelwright, Kentucky and Jennifer Norsworthy (Steven) of Gilbertsville; his siblings, Kathy Sirls (Mike) of Gilbertsville and Charles Thorn (Barbara) of Gilbertsville; his grandsons, Gavin Thorn, Levi Thorn and Tyler Thorn; and his great grandchildren, Avery Thorn and Emmalyn Loesch.
