She was predeceased by: her parents, Hershel Hobby and Marie Hobby (Cunningham); her husband Jerry Leigh Lax Sr.; her sister Susan Myers; and her sister-in-law Lynn Hobby.
She is survived by: her children, Laura Smith (Keith) of Bartlett, TN, Leslie Gieseking (Gary) of Fariland, IN and Jerry Lax, Jr. (Peggy) of Bartlett, TN; her grandchildren, Sean Smith (Betsy), Lindsay Clarkson (Adam), Kreigh Smith (Abby), Tyler Gieseking (Ashley), Brandon Gieseking (Emily), Rachel Chapman (Jeremy), Hunter Lax and Hannah Lax; her great grandchildren, Cooper, Marie Grace Smith, Lily, Cora, Harper Clarkson, Kinsley, Madelyn Gieseking, Wyatt, Willa Gieseking, Peyton Chapman and Maya Jones; and her siblings, Marilyn Buntin (Jimmy), Charles Hobby, Kenneth Hobby (Linda), Joey Hobby (Kathy), Cecil Hobby (Sherry) and Ricky Hobby. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
