He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Sr. Adams and Frances Adams (Smith) of Ghent, Kentucky.; his wife Mildred Adams (Davis); and his son Brian Adams. He is survived by: his son Gary Adams; his grandchildren, Morgen and Zachary; and his siblings, Eddie Adams, Lester Adams (Janet), Martha Wilson and Rose Landon. He is also survived by two great grandchildren.
