He was predeceased by: his parents, Augustus "Gus" and Louise Meyer Scharfenberger; his sister Mary Jo Fryman; and his brother-in-law Stanley Woods. He is survived by: his children, Sherry Williams of San Jacinto, CA, Sheila Larkin of Fairdale, KY and Randall Scharfenberger of South Carolina; his sisters, Elizabeth Sue Woods of Maysville, KY and Linda Wills of Georgetown, OH; his brother-in-law Raymond Dale Fryman of Augusta, KY; and his close friend Ella Hardin.
