With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Winnie Smith Bratcher (Georgetown, Kentucky), born in Paragould, Arkansas, who passed away on February 2, 2024 at the age of 86. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Winnie Smith Bratcher to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her husband Rev. Stuart Wesley Bratcher; and her parents, J. Lee Smith and Miriam Beck Smith. She is survived by: her children, Vicki Watson (Jerry), Kris Bratcher of Georgetown, KY, Rebecca Laxton (Steve) and N. C.; her grandson Bryan Watson (Alison); her great grandchild Louise Watson; her granddaughter Katie Beth Watson (Chanwook Kim); her great grandchild Dayna Kim; and her grandchildren, Mikaela, Carleigh, Gracie and Jacob Laxton of Charlotte, NC. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faith Baptist Church.

“I am so sorry to hear of Winnie's passing. I had no idea she was so ill. I only knew her through emails, and telephone conversations. I considered her the family historian and enjoyed talking with her. It seemed like I had known her all my life. Since I live in Livermore, CA and have lived in California most of my life, I never had an opportunity to meet Winnie which was my loss. Jean Beck Owens”
