He is survived by: his wife Linda Hiten Murphy; his children, Tracy Ann Bright (Jason) of Union, KY and Bryan J. Murphy (Vanessa) of Williamstown, KY; his brother Gene Murphy (Debbie); his grandchildren, Christopher Bright, Matthew Bright, Faith Murphy, Elijah Murphy, Olivia Bright and Stella Murphy; his great grandchildren, Taylor and Hailey Bright; and his uncle Charlie Murphy (Becky).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation.
