He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Paul James Burns and Anna Marie May Burns; and his son Christopher Michael Burns. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Riddle Burns; his children, Serena Leeann Ritchey (Dwayne) of Georgetown and Alyshia Danielle Carrillo (Carlos) of Atlanta, Georgia; his siblings, James Burns of Jeffersonville, Tony Burns of Jeffersonville, Earl Burns of Louisville, Joseph Morris of Alabama, Ruth Willis of Lexington and Richard Morris of Orlando, Florida; his grandchildren, Cameron Ritchey, Addison Lutter (Preston) and Victoria Carrillo; and his great grandchildren, Clarence Ritchey and Harmony Ritchey. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
