He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Stephen "Stoney" Gano and Laura Carpenter Gano; and his brother Stephen "Steve" Gano. He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Gano; his sister Laura Jane Lyons; and his nieces and nephews, Rick Corbitt, Micah Gano (Valarie), Joel Gano (Melisa), Jeff Gano (Saundra), Michael Perkins, Sharla Whitt (Kevin) and Juett Ann Wells (Bobby).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are recommended to Gano Baptist Church, to be used for Missions.
