He was predeceased by: his parents, William Stevens and Minnie Stevens; his wife Joyce Stevens; and his brother Robert Stevens. He is survived by: his children, Daryle Stevens (Myra), Janet Wallace (Jimmy), Rita Humphrey (Joey Wohner) and Sharon Marshall (Hurschel); his siblings, Billy Stevens (Gary) and Alice Giles; his grandchildren, Jason Humphrey (Cheryl), Chad Stevens Heartwood (Shaena), Jerica Wallace, Ryan Marshall (Sejla), Julie Johnson and J. R. Wallace (Rebecca); his great grandchildren, Austin Humphrey (Sharon), Trevor Humphrey (Abby), Emma Marshall, Will Marshall, Harper Johnson, Holden Johnson, Osha Stevens Heartwood, Juniper Stevens Heartwood and Ivey Wallace; and his great great grandchildren, Annaline, Lucas, Hudson Humphrey and Fletcher Humphrey. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
