He is survived by: his spouse Lois Spillman Grossl; his parent Anna Curnutte Grossl; his children, Angella Jones (Lonnie) of Stamping Ground, KY, Robbie Grossl (Sunni), Stephen Grossl (Melinda) and Mark McGranahan (Traci); and his siblings, Anna Lucille Staley, Fred Grossl (Faith) and John Benny Grossl (Betty). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
