With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Peggy Lanter Groves McCollins (Georgetown, Kentucky), born in Cynthiana, Kentucky, who passed away on April 11, 2023 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ewell Lanter and Velva Lyons Lanter Templeton; her son George Edward Groves, II; and her son-in-law Jerry D. Gunnell. She is survived by: her husband George McCollins; her children, Georgina Groves Gunnell and Gregory Tod Groves (Tonya); her stepchildren, Mike McCollins, Scott McCollins and Susan McCollins; her brothers, Tod Lanter (Glenna), Charles Lanter (Rose), Wayne Lanter and Elwood Lanter (Janice); her grandchildren, Brian Waugh (Leslie), Kayla Hodgson (Grant), Connor Groves and Colton Groves; and her great grandchildren, Grace Waugh, Tyler Hall, Mason Waugh, Remington Hall and Hailey Sageser.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to United Way of Kentucky.
