He was predeceased by: his parents, Ora Dempsey Qualls, Jr. and Leona Reffitt Qualls. He is survived by: his wife Susan Mullins Qualls; his daughters, Ashleigh Hernandez (George) and Melissa Andrade (Charlie) of Lexington, KY; his sisters, Patricia May of Lexington, KY, Jenny King (Dan) of Ashland and Rhonda King of Panama City, FL; and his grandchildren, Pierce Hernandez and Audra Hernandez.
Dempsey was very proud of his service to the Ashland Fire Department and in lieu of flowers, we ask that you donate to the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation or the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.
