He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Covington, and Robert C. Covington, Sr.; his nephew Jereme Covington; his niece Autumn Anderson; and his brother-in-law Andy Anderson.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Covington; his daughters, Heather Covington-Lamb (Jackson) and Shannon Guelda (Robert); his grandchildren, Bailey Carter, Katheryn Guelda and Colin Guelda; his siblings, Robert Covington, Jr. (Bobby) and Sharon Anderson; and his aunt Betty Osborne.
