He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Hillard Cecil, Sr. and Georgean Sellards Cecil of Stanville, Kentucky.; his wife Lana; his children, Hillary Allison "Ali" Cecil and Layla Zhan "Bug" Cecil; his stepchildren, Jonathan Stump (Joselyn) and Raimee Botner (Adam); his grandchildren, Dayana, Ivana, Zoe, Felix, Otis and Glen; his siblings, Jackie Cecil (Trina), Rusha Miles (Larry) and Dean Cecil (Karen); his nieces, Courtney Cripe (David), Kristen Horsely (Aaron) and Hannah Cecil; his great-nieces, Madeleine and Elizabeth; his close friends, Marty Meade, Darrel Newsome and Linda Howell; his family Peggy Brawner; his son-in-law Adam; and his friend Rodger Welch.
In lieu of flowers, Hillard's wishes were to donate in his memory to Berea Christian Church Youth Ministry or to the Christian Community Center, 37607 State Highway 194 East, Phelps, Kentucky 41553.
