He is survived by: his wife Wanda Lou Parker Vest; his children, Kimberly Ann Vest (Greg Brown) and Christopher Wayne Vest; his sisters, Nadine Spencer, Sandra Reed, Frieda Sutton and Kathy Johnson; his grandchildren, Mark Allan Sutton, Bobbi Sutton, Derick Hurst, Scotty Ray Vest and Thomas Wayne Griffin-Vest; and his great grandchildren, Autumn Renee Vest and Apollo Wayne Vest.

Memorial contributions are suggested to; American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association, US Department of Veterans Affairs, or the Fraternal Order of Police.
