She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Kappes and Ethal Kappes (Sadao Yagami Sr.); her son Sadao Yagami Jr.; and her siblings, Louis, Martin, Richard, Alvin (Duke), Steven Kappes (Bear) and Christina Kappes.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sachiko Yagami of Georgetown, Sumiko Coleman of Lexington Kentucky, Setsuko Pigeon (Keith) of New Britain and Shizuko Dawes of Richmond; her siblings, Norman Kappes (Connie), Frank Kappes (Debbie), John Kappes (Teresa), Carol Bradley, Velma Armstrong (Jerry), Rosemary Hooten (Rick), Regina West (Doug), Martha (Jeff) and Debbie Schmidt; her grandchildren, Morgan Richie (Steven), Amanda Barnett (Brad), Sara Caldwell, Shane Caldwell and Celeste Caldwell; and her great grandchildren, Makenzie Burdine, Kevin Burdine, Mason Richie, Dixie Barnett, Evan Barnett, Orianna Caldwell, Ethan Darbonne, Jermery Isaacs, Nathan Isaacs, Logan Deckert and Aurora Dees.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the St. John's Catholic Church (331 S Buckeye St, Osgood, IN 47037). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
