It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Davis Ray Pollitt Sr. of Georgetown, Kentucky, who passed away on March 4, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Robert M. Pollitt; his son Lester "Rusty" Pollitt; and his sisters, Juanita Berry, Barbara Moss, Betty Kelly, Billie Jo Smith, Nell Rose Pollitt and Linda Wilburn.
He is survived by: his wife Bessie Brewer Pollitt; his children, Davis Ray Pollitt, Jr., Vanessa Stewart (Tim) and Carrie Gaines (Mike); his grandchildren, Joshua Neal (Lyndsey), Devin A. Pollitt, Kramer A. Pollitt, Zachary R. Stewart, Kayla H. Griffey and Chelsea Latimer (Lacey); his great grandchildren, Jayda, Prudence, Payton, Khloe, Brady, Mason "Rusty" and Stellan "Jack"; his friends, Paul and Becky Smith; and his nephew Jamie Townsend (Debbie). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
