He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Johnson and Betty Paige Johnson; and his grandson Chandler Palmerton. He is survived by: his wife Debra Dillon Johnson; his children, Michelle Johnson, David Michael "Davey" Johnson, II, Christopher Johnson and Amy Barnes (Mike); and his grandchildren, Lex Palmerton, JC Johnson, Aubryonna Johnson, Xander Johnson and Colby Tharpe.
