He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale DeWerff and Mary DeWerff; his brother Ed DeWerff; his mother-in-law Gretchen Borror; and his son Jacob Leath.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Borror DeWerff; his brothers, Scott DeWerff (Jayne) and Robert DeWerff (Pam); his father-in-law Kenneth Borror; his siblings-in-law, Hank Borror and Michelle Besten (Bob); and his grandchildren, Jacob "JJ" Leath, Jr. and Ginger McQuiston. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
