He was predeceased by: his parents, Asa Denniston and Anna Duff Denniston. He is survived by: his daughters, Shannon Caudill and Anna Watkins; and his siblings, Donnie Denniston, Johnny Denniston (Debbie), Jane Franklin, Mary Power and Dian Hammond (James). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
