She was predeceased by: her husband Jess Wells; and her parents, James Dixon and Stella Cornett Dixon. She is survived by: her children, Keith Wells (Kathy), Deborah Beaucham, Rita Bennett, Belinda Kelly and Florence. She is also survived by six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
