He was predeceased by: his parents, Andy Tipton and Fannie Potts Tipton; and his siblings, Harold, Hershel, Juanita, Andy Tipton and Mildred Marshall.
He is survived by: his spouse Hennrietta Wood Tipton; and his daughters, Tina Hagenbuch (Robin), Lynne Lewis, Tammy Sullivan and Angie Pandolfo (Mike). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
