It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Buford Blackburn (Georgetown, Kentucky), born in Goody, Kentucky, who passed away on September 30, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Fred Blackburn; his wife Lillie; his son Dennis Orbin; his daughter-in-law Patricia Blackburn; and his sisters, Ethel Stollings (Frennie) and Arbutus "Boo" Moore (Andrew).
He is survived by: his children, Devonna Lynn Hisel (Douglas) of McKee, Buford Dale Blackburn (Kathy) of Corvallis and David Dwain Blackburn (Pam) of Nicholasville, Kentucky; his grandsons, Scotty Tackett, Matthew Hisel, Adam Hisel, Johnathan Blackburn and Samuel Blackburn; and his sisters, Charlene Jones (Walter) of Lexington, Kentucky. and Joan Scalf (Dan) of Lexington, Kentucky.. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations in Buford's name to Safe Harbor Baptist Fellowship, 519 Gano Avenue, Georgetown, Kentucky 40324.
