He was predeceased by: his parents, Orie Hicks and Maggie Hicks; his siblings, Venice, Ken, Robert Hicks and Bernice Larsen; and his great-nephew Tyler.
He is survived by: his nephew David Arthur; his wife Betsy; his daughter Ashley; his son-in-law Jed Johnson; his grandson Wyler Nash Johnson; his nephew Jim Bob Hicks; and his brother-in-law Rodney Hendrickson (Alice) of London, KY.
