She was predeceased by: her father Harry Willoughby; her former husband Marvin Owens; her brothers, Harry Lee Willoughby, Jr. and Thomas Willoughby; and her stepson Harvey McKenney.

She is survived by: her husband Cecil McKenney; her children, Michael Owens and Vickie Gillispie (Darry); her grandchildren, Keith Gillispie (Nikki) and Melissa Florence; her great grandchild Alexus Florence; her stepchildren, Charles McKenney (Sharon) and Robin McKenney; and her sister-in-law Laura Willoughby.
