He was predeceased by : his parents, Marlin Lee and Mary Jane Pollitt Burriss (Tad'); and his siblings, Patricia Burriss and Carl R.'Butch'Burriss. He is survived by : his children, Laken Rainwater (Zack) of West Union, Ohio. and Joshua Burriss (Kayla) of Tollesboro, Kentucky.; his close friend Virgie Grigson of Garrison; his stepchildren, Amanda Grigson and Chris Bloomfield; and his siblings, Lynn Hughes (Rick) of Maysville, Kentucky., Mike Burriss of Vanceburg, Kentucky., Randy Burriss (Pauline) of Vanceburg, Kentucky. and Nelson Burriss (Debbie) of Vanceburg, Kentucky..
