He was predeceased by: his parents, Elzie Carpenter and Bertha Boshers Carpenter; his wife Ruth Ann Phillips Carpenter; and his siblings, Louise Carpenter, Barbara Clemons, J. B. Ramsey, Herbert Ramsey and LeRoy Ramsey.
He is survived by: his children, Chasity Carpenter of Jackson County, Garry Dale DaShawn Carpenter (Hellen) of Jackson County and Phillip W. Carpenter (Amy) of Garrard County; his grandchildren, Ashton Williams (Dillion), MaShinda Bowles (Craig), Brooklyn Ratliff, Chase Carpenter, Chelsea Carpenter, Caleb Kennedy, Madison Carpenter, Westlee Carpenter and Elizabeth Carpenter; and his sister Florence Powell of Rockcastle County. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home (701 N Main St, Lawrenceburg, KY 40342). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
