It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Aster Ray Smith of Garner, Kentucky, born in Lackey, Kentucky, who passed away on October 27, 2020, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, David Smith Jr. and Jeanette Slone Smith Thacker; his son Heath Douglas Breeding; and his siblings, Ollie Handshoe and Birtchell Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine Breeding Smith; his children, Trish Hall (Coshel), Tanya Tackett (Brandon), David Smith (Diana), Tabitha Bloomfield (Brad) and Ira Smith (Amanda); his grandchildren, Hayley Short, Layton Hall, Krysten Tackett, Haydon Tackett, Jackson Tackett, Braxton Banks, Shalyn Bloomfield, Brenley Bloomfield, Cameron Slone, Grayson Smith and Waylon Aster Smith; and his sister Penny Hall (Gary).
