He was predeceased by: his mother Edith Katherine Tyree Hooten; and his sister Nancy Hooten. He is survived by: his father W. L. Hooten; and his siblings, Charles Hooten (Wendy), Phillip Hooten (Loretta), Jason Hooten and Anita Gregory (Robert). He is also survived by Several nieces and nephews.
