Nancy Proffitt Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nancy Proffitt of Gamaliel, Kentucky, who passed away on December 3, 2020 at the age of 93. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Nancy Proffitt to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Parsley and Lucinda Parsley (Crawford); her spouse Bavil Proffitt; her siblings, Joe, Junior Parsley, Mildred York, Corrine Bartley, Mitchel Howard and Pearl Strode; and her son-in-law Don Allen Cherry.
She is survived by: her daughters, Marilyn Kay Cherry (Proffitt) of Hephzibah, GA and Thelma Jean Proffitt of Gamaliel; and her grandchildren, Lacey Owens, Shane Cherry, Eric and Shawn Pedigo. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
In keeping with the Governor's recommendations for safety during funeral services, the number of attendees in the funeral home during service will be limited to 25; no food permitted in the lounge; social distancing will be necessary and face coverings are required or you will not be allowed into the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated by the family for Gamaliel Cemetery and these may be made at the funeral home or mailed to Anderson-Bartley Funeral Home, 204 Columbia Avenue, Tompkinsville, KY 42167.
