He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Vergil Jernigan, Gracie Mae Taylor (Carter), Fred Bransford Ray and Lecta Ann Ray (Deckard); and his aunts and uncles, Max Ray Spears Ray (Fay), Becky Ray (Rich), Joe William, Margaret Taylor (Quinn), Jerome, Shirley Taylor (Spivey), John M. Taylor, David, Martha Taylor (Stevens), Charles, Joyce Taylor (Shirley) and Peggy Ray.
He is survived by: his father Attorney James Charles Jernigan (Patsy Ann); and his aunts, Idru (Taylor), Vibbert (Joseph) and Jackie Taylor (Napier).
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bartley & Sons - Gamaliel (315 E Main St, Gamaliel, KY 42140). A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, to honor Jim and his passing, donations can be made to Bartley & Sons Funeral Home to cover his final expenses.
