She was predeceased by: her parents, Newman C. Clarkson and Roxie Clarkson (Brooks); her husband Gary Edward Compton; her siblings, Eugene, Norvel Clarkson and Betty Lou Keller; and her siblings-in-law, Charmon Clarkson, Diane Clarkson, Bobby Birge and Dave Keller.
She is survived by: her son Cody Compton (Rachel); her stepdaughter Tracy Downing of Bowling Green; her grandchildren, Mellie and Wakes Compton; her stepgrandson Ty Downing (Addison); her stepgreat-grandchildren, Elaina and Teddy Downing; her siblings, Phinell Birge, Marvin, Keith and Norman Clarkson (Susan); and her sisters-in-law, Margie and Connie Clarkson. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, and special great-nieces and nephews also survive and cousins.
