He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Stack" Edward and Vivian Arlene Gearlds (Proffitt); and his brother Kevin D. Gearlds. He is survived by: his sons, Jonathan Edward Gearlds (Sarah) and Adam Scott Gearlds (Michelle); his siblings, Diana Jewell, Denise Long (Dennis), Debbie Murray (Charles) and Michael Gearlds (Linda); and his grandchildren, Dylan, Logan, Ashton Gearlds, Nicole, Jardeth Botts, Emily and Braxton Gearlds.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Sunday, March 23rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Bartley & Sons Funeral Home (204 Columbia Ave, Tompkinsville, KY 42167). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, March 23rd 2025 at the Monroe County Memorial.
