It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Trixie Luverne Akers of Fulton, Kentucky, born in Obion, Tennessee, who passed away on April 16, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Herbert Slaughter; her husband Charles Richard Akers; her son Richard Steven Akers; her siblings, Margie Wicker, Herbert Slaughter and Bruce Slaughter; and her half-brother Pete Worley.

She is survived by: her sons, Douglas Neal Akers of Fulton, KY, Ralph Sherman Akers of Ft. Myers, FL, Danny Lee Akers of Murray, KY, Anthony Ray Akers of St Joseph, MI and Dennis Roger Akers of Fulton, KY; her stepdaughter Judy Lark of Charleston, WV; and her sisters, Marine, Watts of Chicago, IL and Janice McIntyre (June Alexander) of Fulton, KY.
