He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis Estelle Mathis Sutton and Johnnie Raymond Sutton, Sr.; his former wife Patsy Bolton Sutton; and his brothers, J. P. Sutton and Guy Thomas Sutton.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Garrison Sutton; his children, Renee Brown (Johnny), Becky Fisette (Doug) of Fulton, KY and Bobby Sutton (Niki) of Bradenton, FL; his stepchildren, Darrel Butler (Jessica) of South Fulton, TN, Billy McGee (Shannon) of Woodland Mills, TN, Tanya Wheatley (Roger) of Louisville, KY, Scott Butler (Hollie) of Evansville, IN and Teena Cripps of Wingo, KY; and his siblings, Frances Browder of Murray, KY, Fairra McFadden (Jimmy) of Murray, KY, Betty Worthey of Murray, KY, Mattie Cook of South Fulton, TN, Johnnie Sutton, Jr., David Sutton (Gail) of South Fulton, TN and Steve Sutton (Jan) of Pensacola, FL.. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, thirteen step-grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, one step-great grandchild.
