He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie Arlie Hicks and Neatie Henderson Hicks of Fulton Kentucky; and his sister Nadene. He is survived by: his wife Miriam; his children, Eddie Shane Hicks (Dana) and Amy Murphey Boghof; and his grandchildren, Ethan Murphey and Magdalene Murphey (Maggie).
In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made to a local tornado relief fund of choice for Northwest Tennessee and Western Kentucky.
