It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kerry Philyaw of Frenchburg, Kentucky, born in Walhalla, South Carolina, who passed away on December 4, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Eli and Dollie Lou Swafford Philyaw; his siblings, Robert Hunt Jr. and Annie Whitaker; and his daughter Teresa McCoy.
He is survived by: his wife Deley Margaret Jones Philyaw of Frenchburg, KY; his daughters, Crystal Dunn (Rusty) of Jeffersonville, KY, Dottie McPherson (Talmadge) of Wellington, KY, Mary McPherson of Morehead, KY and Ramona McPherson of Frenchbugr, KY.; his sister Demetrius Philyaw (Betty) of Means, KY; and his nephew Thomas Whitaker of Means, KY. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren & 25 great grandchildren.
