He was predeceased by: his parents, Farris Peirson and Zella Greene Peirson; his children, Ronnie Pierson and Kelly Pierson; his grandson Justin Williams; and his siblings, Omar Pierson, Linda Linch, Fannie Jo Jones and Jane Hamilton.
He is survived by: his wife Hannah Kaye Pierson of Frenchburg; his daughters, Kim Williams (Paul) of Beattyville, Gwin Pierson of Frenchburg, Joette Kirker (Dave) of Williamtown and Jesse Salyers of Mt. Sterling; his siblings, Wendell Pierson (Velda) of Goshen, Ohio, Lula Jean Hallitt of Ohio and Carol Hornsby of Ohio; and his stepsons, Bobby Henry of Frenchburg and Terry Richards (Tammy) of Frenchburg. He is also survived by four grandsons, three granddaughters; eight great grandchildren.
