She was predeceased by: her parents, John Roy and Bertha Mae Ingram Lawson, Sr.; her son Matthew Johnson; and her siblings, Jon Roy Lawson, Jr., Ruby Watkins and Alice Ellis.

She is survived by: her children, Edward Johnson (Paula) of Frenchburg, KY, Bobbie Morgan (Tim) of Ohio, Betty Jo Johnson of Monticello, KY and Bertie Massengill (Paul) of Frenchburg, KY; and her sister Wanda Hale (John) of Frenchburg, KY. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
