He was predeceased by: his wife Bonnie Mae James Swinford; his parents, Thomas Leonard and Thelma Mamie Smith Swinford; and his son Thomas Glenn Swinford. He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Christal Swinford of Smithland, KY; his siblings, Lena Buckingham of Marion, KY, James Swinford of Marion, KY and Maurice "Buddy" Swinford (June); his brother-in-law Doug James of Princeton, KY; and his grandson Bayler Thomas Swinford of Smithland, KY. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
