She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Bates and Ruth Farmer Bates; her former husband James Edward Miller Jr.; her stepmother Katherine Bates; her brothers, Robert Earl Bates, Markie Bates and Johnny Ray Bates; and her stepsiblings, Teddy Flick and Dora Coons.
She is survived by: her children, Shanna Harris of Fredonia, Shannon Miller of Mexico, KY and Billy Joe Martin III of Fredonia; her siblings, Brenda Sigler of Fredonia, Joyce Bates of Marion, William Bates of Beulah, KY and Boyd Bates (Kathy) of Fredonia, KY; her stepbrothers, Benny Flick and Larry Flick; and her grandchildren, Breann Demoss (Ronnie), Amber Clendening (Adam), Erika Neace (Hunter), Robin Harris, James Ryan Miller (Hannah), Chayton Miller, Matthew Martin (Hali), AshLynn Miller, Alyssia Martin and Duncan Oliver. She is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
